Once the GOP primary race ended with Mitt Romney as the nominee, national polls have consistently shown the Presidential race as a tight contest.  Last night’s release of the NBC/WSJ poll reaffirms this but also forebodes the dark clouds on the President’s horizon:

Voters remain deeply pessimistic about the nation’s future and uncertain of President Barack Obama’s ability to set the economy on the right course, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll that found Mr. Obama locked in a tight race with Mitt Romney.
